Getting Help in JAM

Overview

JAM has three places to get help. The Getting Started page explains what JAM is and how practice works. The Help Center widget handles in-the-moment questions and bug reports. The Take a Tour (β“˜) icon opens a guided walkthrough of the page you are viewing.

A refresher on how JAM works: the Getting Started page

New to JAM, or need a reminder of how scores, personas, and scorecards fit together? Open Getting Started from the sidebar. The page explains how missions group into tracks and how refreshers keep your skills up to date.
The Getting Started page is your home base for understanding how scenarios, missions, and tracks fit together

You can dismiss the welcome banner after reading it. The page stays in the sidebar, and you can also open it from the Help Center β†’ Get Help tab. You cannot lose it.

Quick questions and bug reports: the Help Center widget

Have a question, or found a bug? Click the floating ? button in the bottom-right corner of any page. The Help Center opens with three tabs β€” one for each type of help.
Chat with Jammy for quick answers; switch tabs to report a bug or find a tour

  • Chat β€” talk to Jammy, the JAM AI assistant. Ask Jammy any question about the platform. Jammy replies inside the widget, so you stay on the current page.
  • Report β€” report a problem to the JAM team. Pick a category and describe what happened.
  • Get Help β€” a shortcuts menu. It links to every other help option in one place.
The Report tab lists the five most common problem categories β€” pick one, then describe what happened

The Report tab offers five categories: App keeps crashing, Cannot start mission, Button is broken, Audio not working, and App is confusing. Select one, add a short description, and the JAM team receives your report directly.

The Get Help tab has four buttons: Take a Tour (launches a tour on the current page), Getting Started (opens the Getting Started page), Help Center (opens the external JAM knowledge base in a new tab), and Contact Support (contacts the JAM support team directly).

Learn a specific page: Take a Tour (β“˜)

Look for the β“˜ icon in the top-right corner of the page. The icon appears only on pages that include a tour. If the icon is not visible, the page does not have a tour. Click the icon and pick a tour to start it.
The β“˜ icon in the top-right corner opens a small menu that lists the tours available for the current page

Tours are currently available on the Getting Started page, the Course Library, Jam Studio, Users and Teams, My Progress, and the mission briefing and feedback pages. You can start the same tours from Help Center β†’ Get Help β†’ Take a Tour.

Troubleshooting

The β“˜ tour icon is missing

The page does not have a tour yet. Tours are only on specific pages β€” check the list above, or open the Get Help tab to see the tours you can run.

Jammy is not responding

Close the Help Center and open it again. If Jammy still does not reply, your network may be blocking it. Switch to the Report tab to file a bug, or use Get Help β†’ Contact Support to contact a support person.

I dismissed the Getting Started banner and cannot find the page

The page is still in the sidebar, listed as Getting Started. You can also open it from Help Center β†’ Get Help β†’ Getting Started.
